Return to form for last year’s Champion

aguilon Golf Course

On March 4th Forum Golf Society members contested an individual stableford competition at Aguilon, and despite an unusually early start the course was as usual in superb condition, and on the day the draw was made for the society’s knockout competitions it was somewhat fitting that the leading two players on the day by some margin were 2015 winner Phil Elam, who’s score of 38 points was just enough to edge out 2014 winner Brian Gyer by a solitary poibt.

Kevin Bircher (33 points) was third, with Max Gonzalez fourth on countback from Richard Price after both recorded scores of 31 points.

Nearest the pin prizes went to Brian Gyer, Terry Davies & Phil Elam, with Jim Barclay claiming the longest drive on the notoriously difficult eighteenth hole with an absolute monster that had people questioning why he had left it to the last hole to hit  a decent shot!
