Pinatar Pirates 270 for 7 – Torrevieja 148 for 8

Pinatar proved too strong for a spirited Torrevieja side and recorded a comprehensive victory in the latest ECCL Division Two encounter.

Pinatar batted first and posted a very challenging 270 for 7 for the home side to chase down. R Singh  top scored with 73 before being run out and then he was well supported by his counterparts P Singh and G Singh who scored 52 and 40 respCricket Spainectively.

In reply, the home side plugged away game-fully from the first to last ball but they struggled to make of a positive inroad into the required total. They did, however, manage to deny the visitors maximum bowling points as they batted out their overs to record a score of 148 for 8.

C Darwen, the opener, top scored with a fine 64 whilst their were notable contributions from Ciaran Pinatar PiratesGulchard (18) and Kailash Singh (21) who frustrated the Pinatar bowlers with their dogged resistance. Pinatar finally ended up with 19 points from the game, whilst Torrevieja amassed 5 points.
