In recent weeks, Nolito has made it very clear his desire to return to Spanish football after a disappointing debut season in Manchester.
The former Spain international winger started the season in a promising fashion, bagging six goals and two assists in his first ten run outs for Manchester City, thus making his transfer fee of close to £14m look like fantastic business in today’s inflated market.
The former Celta Vigo star was soon to realise he would take a back seat to Leroy Sane and he would find himself regularly excluded from the match day squad as the year went on. He is very keen to work his way back into the squad for Spain’s involvement in the World Cup in Russia next year.
“I’m crazy about returning, but it depends on City. They (City) keep signing players; let us see if they will let me leave easily. I have several teams I’d prefer to join.”
Today ESPN have reported that there is a possibility of the winger returning to Vigo. Speaking on Radio Marca about a possible return to Celta he stated:
“Of course there are options. In life there are options for everything. Of course I would like to [return].”
One of the potential obstacles the Spanish club will face will be his salary but with other Blues players currently out on loan such as; Mangala, Nasri, Bony and Hart it is a possibility that some deal that would be beneficial to all parties.
