The bad form of La Hoya Lorca continues with a 5-0 thumping at home to lowly Villanovense!

El Brócoli Mecánico haven’t won a game since they defeated Recreativo Huelva 2-1 back in November but more distressing for the La Hoya outfit is they have conceded 13 in 5 games and only managing to score 3 themselves. The answer could lie with discipline on the pitch, with 3 red cards in the past 5 games it doesn’t take a genius to work out that at the Segunda B level, if you go down to 10 men things get very difficult.

It could not have been more embarrassing for El Brocoli Mecanico as they fell to their heaviest defeat since the promotion to the Segunda B, add into the mix it was against Villanovense, a club that hasn’t won away all season but the new Chinese owner was there to watch from the sidelines… Rumours are circulating about a possible chance in coaching staff as one win from nine games is relegation form.

From the off the visitors were in control of everything, and only poor crossing and finishing kept the game at 0-0. It didn’t stay that way for long as Juanjo was left unmarked in the area to fire past Salcedo after 27 minutes at the near post. The day got worse for La Hoya on 39 minutes as Pardo was shown a second yellow card that left his team down to 10 men with over 50 minutes to play.

A change at the break saw Ferron enter the game in place of Roberto, this was to try and offer another option as opposed to playing the ball around at the back then hitting the wide men only to find the ball coming back far too quickly. Ferron was there to hold the ball up and allow people to get in and around the visitors box.

The plan went right out the window on 51 minutes when the Extremadura outfit banged home the second to the dismay of the home fans and the new owner, Curro making it 2-0. It stayed that way until the 85 minute until Casi slotted home the 3rd 2 mins later Juanfran got in on the act making 4 he then got his second with only 1 minute left on the clock. 5-0.

It doesn’t get any easier for Paco Garcias team as they travel to Seville and take on Real Betis B, another side at the wrong end of the table but who will be buoyed by this result and will certainly be looking to go for the jugular.
